Hi. Good Afternoon

ok. I try with my poor english.


1. One barrel with 100 liters of Acid Sulfuric (H2SO4) 100%

First step.

Dip in acid sulfuric all metal parts .
This process remove:

Grease
Oil
Painting
any contamination

Second step

to wash with pressure jet water

at the ended of process, all parts are clean , but with rust.


2. One Barrel with 100 liters of acid hydrochloric (HCL)

Take the parts that have beem cleaned with acid sulfuric in step 1 and immerse in the acid hydrochloric to remove rust.


in thirty or sixty minutes after dip in acid, parts are free of ruty,


3 step very very important

IN END OF process neutralize all parts with (NAOH) I DONT KNOW NAME IN ENGLISH IN PORTUGUESE SODA CAUSTICA

I noticed one of the items you were cleaning was the oil pump, and it reminded me to make sure you know that the gasket for that MUST be the correct thickness. The gear clearances are determined by the gasket, so your oil pressure will be affected if it's not correct.

Almost any other gasket on the tractor is not critical, but that one is.

Also, have you tried using electrolysis for rust removal? It works quite well, though it takes a bit longer, but it is not as caustic... won't eat up your hands as fast! It uses a 12v source, with a piece of scrap metal and your part to be cleaned hanging in a tub of water with Washing Soda...if you do a Google search you will find lots of information. You can search here on the forum, too. Here is one result of a search:

I use a large plastic garbage can and a 12v battery charger (non-automatic), and a mower blade for the sacrificial anode.

The oil pump will not be clean with acid. I will clean it very carefully. Thank you. I just acid clean non-precision parts Thanks you about electrolysis information. I will study about it.
