Rescue Cub in Brazil

Doesn't look like the dog was happy with the noise of the wrench.

Don't use the radiator as a handle. It isn't strong enough.

If you haven't gotten the pulley off yet, STOP! The way you are doing it is likely going to break the pulley. You need a backer plate (like a gear puller) to support the pulley. I hope it either came off easily or it's not too late!

I was thinking the same thing. I have never pulled the crank pulley on one before but learned my lesson pulling with those type pullers on an outboard and a flywheel, where I busted my flywheel and had to buy a replacement off eBay.

Sure glad I'm not painting this one. For me, there'd have to be some strong sentimental value to tackle this project - especially with the lack of parts' availability.

When you get ready to reinstall the front crankshaft pulley, this is the easiest way I have found:
http://farmallcub.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=141&t=106362

Looks like you are making good progress! :D

By the way, while you have the front dismantled, I would suggest replacing, or at least checking, the governor spring (VERY difficult to do after assembly!), as well as ensuring all the linkages are free, but with no slop (looseness), from throttle quadrant all the way to the carburetor. The governor rockshaft that connects across the front of the engine between the governor and the carb rod, can have some slop in it due to wear of the tiny woodruff key at the governor. You can replace that key, or some folks use a dab of JB Weld to secure the shaft.
