Glad you are back. I was just thinking a week or so ago that we hadn't heard anything in a while. Keep up the great work and keep posting.

Thank you K hutchins, I will keeping posting my progress.

Stephane.

Hi,
The engine looks good in your pictures.
The electrical system has to ground through the cast iron housings of the Cub, to make a circuit to where the battery is, under the seat.
They have said on here that when painting parts for a Cub, don't paint the castings where they touch together. They should be bare metal.
It looks like you have painted the rear of the engine, I would use paint thinner on a rag and remove all the paint where the clutch housing touches the engine.
Also the front of the engine, where it touches the front end mountings.
Remove all paint where the starter bolts on the engine, and from the starter, where it touches the engine.
All places where something needs to ground through should be bare metal.
I sent you a PM.

Also the starter switch has to have the bracket on it like in the listing below, from TM Tractor Parts, so the starter lever and rod can be used.

You probably know this, but now that the clutch assembly is installed on the flywheel, make sure you adjust the clutch fingers to even heights between 1 1/8" to 1 1/4".

It may already have been discussed earlier, but IF you replaced the pilot bushing in the rear of the crankshaft, you need to check the internal diameter where the clutch shaft inserts. It tends to get smaller when pressed in & can cause the shaft to continue turning even with clutch pedal depressed...causing transmission gear grinding! :x

Hello friends.

A few Years ago I rescued a rusted Farmall Cub in Northwest of Brazil.
Everyone remember it.

With a lot of trouble due the lack of parts and high importation taxes, finally I rebuit the engine with some parts of 1.0 FIAT cars.

I am glad to share some pictures from before and after.

Thanks to lot folks for Helping me.

Hello guys, I'm back to working on the Cub after many problems caused by the COVID pandemic in my life. This week, my engine will run for the first time after 45 years without running. I believe I chose the wrong color for the Farmall Cub.

Hi,
Too bad you had problems with covid.
The parts you have painted look good in your pictures. Farmall Cubs are mostly red, the color in your pictures looks good.
I hope you removed the paint where the castings bolt together, so the electrical system can ground through the Cub, like I wrote before. :)

Hello Everbody, I need to buy the distribuitor cover housing. Where can I buy one. Can someone please Help.

Chinese carburetor vs. original IH carburetor. I'm thinking about buying the rebuild kit for the original carburetor. I don't like Chinese products.

Not sure what you mean by the distributor cover housing. If you do purchase a carburetor rebuild kit, get it from a reputable source like TM Tractor Parts or McDonald Carb & Ignition.
