The seat that is rusted through is not the original Cub seat. Since you have the correct one that came from Miami, I'd use it. If you're also asking about the rear rim, I think you need to take the tire off so you can evaluate it better.

I will use the orginal from Miami. I will take off the tires and send pics for evaluation. Thank you.

I'm amazed at you chemical process. It really turns those rusty parts into looking new again.

I also noticed your gear shifter knob is a different shape than most here in the US. These are rubber sold by one of our sponsors, TM Tractor:

Yours looks like a cast iron knob.

This part came with a tractor. I don´t know if it´s original. I will post new especific pics of this part.

Stephane - that is an awesome task and great job you are doing on your "newest" Cub! I spent the morning looking at all eleven pages of your posts. Super restoration job. I dealt with that first part of September as well. It made the perfect time to get a few projects around the house since I didn't go anywhere so I wouldn't spread it to others :lol: . I finially put the carb off the old Mitsubishi truck I have. Got the grass cut which I hadn't had time to do prior to that. Changed the fan clutch on my old K10 that was leaking. Didn't want it to fail when I needed it. Changed the old faulty oil sending unit. Put new spark plugs in it. Changed my leaky valve cover gaskets on it. Yep I had all the parts in my shed. Just was always busy doing other things. Was able to split the last bit of wood I had sitting around here that was hand splittable, stacked the wood I had split. Since we didn't go out on the boat that weekend or go anywhere I was able to do all these things I had planned for awhile.

Be careful with any sheet metal parts. They can be warped by over-blasting.

Yes. The process are make with glass dust, know? . This material is less abrasive.

Good Morning everyone
Today I am Working with transmission parts. I will disassemble everthing parts for inspection and cleaning.
While I wait to arrive the new engine gaskets from usa.

I will have a hard work to remove the seat post. The bolts are very rusty and head damage.

I try with heat, it didn´t work. Now i try weld a nut in the bolt head.

Does anyone have any suggestion ?

Many folks have had success with welding the nut on, and they will probably chime in.

Just a note, in case you didn't already know, the axle extension that the seat, battery box & platform are attached to is hollow, with only the differential shaft going through it.
