hey guys my "new" 154 seems to have a pto issue. the pto engages but doesnt spin at speed and only occasionally spins fast enough to mow with. I assume the pto clutch is needing to be serviced. Any thoughts on anything else to check would be appreciated. and yes I am using the search and have the manuals.

thanks.

Welcome to the forum. The drive belts are a matched set and should be changed as a pair if replaced. The operator's manual and service manual should steer you in the right direction. The Resources link at the top of this page has info on the numbered series which you can access after you meet the qualifications of number of posts and membership time. JMHO Stan

Here's the answer to your first question from Dennis (the site Administrator): https://farmallcub.com/community/threads/pdf-manuals-library-new-members.95558/
Second question: If you purchased the manuals from an online source, they may be the same or nearly so like the ones on this site. The ones on this forum site are free/downloadable (and there's a lot of them). The reason for the qualifications restrictions are, apparently in the past some people were downloading the information and then selling it on other sites and pocketing the money. (n):( There's a lot of work gone into creating this site library and IMO it's not very ethical for someone to take advantage of it for their profit. JMHO Stan

IF the belts up front are tight then you only need a $650. clutch pack ! lol!! I redid several of them and they spendy little suckers!!check around you MIGHT get kits cheeeeper some place but IF you tke it apart make sure everything goes in as pictured and i mean EVERYTHING even down to the right number of wavy washers and have them pointed the right way too! tricky to work on for sure but take time and your fine doin it.
