Fire Extinguisher Recall

I just got two more replacement fire extinguishers from Kidde via FedEx. Unfortunately, one of the boxes was heavily damaged on the end. When I took opened the inner box, it had the extinguishing agent (powder) all over in the box. The metal operating handle sill had the pin and seal intact but had bent down almost to the cylinder allowing the "burp" that dusted the inside of the box.
30 minutes on the phone with Kidde and I have yet another extinguisher on the way to replace the damaged new one.
They asked me to pack the box tightly with extra Styrofoam on the valve end to prevent it from happening again. I offered to discharge the extinguisher but they want to see it in an unmolested state to evaluate the valve pinning system.

I submitted for my two on Nov. 9 and they arrived this week. I got one, then the second one came a few days after the "sorry for the wait" email. I'll box up the old ones and send them out tomorrow.

One was a commercial model and the other was for home use, but outside of the boxes, I can't see any difference. They are both 3A, 40BC rating and look identical.
 
I had two extinguishers on the recall list. Called Kidde in mid December with my info. Got new replacements 1/4/18 via FedEx.
