Finally, some rain…

dry here all summer. garden was mostly a bust this year, poor quality on what was there. Been fixing broken tile at the farm and its bone dry down 6' in the waterways.
forecast is for heavy rain Friday here ---hope it stays dry, ---I hate diggin in the mud! got 1,000 feet of 4" put in. more to patch or replace.
 
Very dry here in north-east IL. I know the water table is getting low because my well water is starting to stink real bad, we are in an old mine area and gas is common in the water.
We're finishing combining and want to see some moisture so we can chisel plow neighbors are having terrible breakdowns because the ground is so stiff to plow
