fast hitch points

Thanks Scot. I am all set, those parts were spares anyway, the rest of it has gone to other board members to make a complete one or rig up a clever rock shaft (Dirt Devil).

Something to think about while you are at it, is a way to add weight using a fast hitch. I was thinking of something with a large container of cement on a fast hitch point. I have a small (20 gal) plastic one and a fresh water tank from a camper that would work, but need to rig a point or ???

I think I have Don. Isn't it a platform carrier with rear weights?? I would like a platform, but those are pricey and hard to come by (do have a spare set of weights though). He is right on the mark about having the weight 'out back', especially with a loader. Just looking to accomplish that as cheaply as possible.

But more than likely would need the upright 'stabilizer' that Scot is looking to fabricate as it seems like it would want to spin... Here is a similar setup on a 154 with a 3 point hitch (?).

Here it is, Larry. It could easily be made with a Leinbach Fast Hitch point. And it's adjustable.

Thanks oronc, thats where I was planning to buy the point from, the problem is the up right portion of the point that stabilizes it in the hitch doesn't come with it. I believe you have to make it yourself. Scot

I took two pieces of angle iron, welded it together I took the measurements off of the plow and went by it I can get that for you if you like.

2X4 tubing (Heavyweight) would do it. It's a tight fit. May need to massage either the upright or the receiver. May need to shim bottom when welding on.

Larry here's Dads homemade one that you could make easy enough and put what ever type weight or platform you wanted. this is also the one that I want to get the upright portion stabilizer made for. although it has worked fine the way it is all these years. I just think it would put less stress on the hitch if it was there. Its also in the back of my pick up because I was taking it to work to sand blast for painting. I'll leave it in there so you can get a closer look at it this weekend. Scot

I think thats what I have both 2x4 and 2x3 heavy weight tubing in the truck right now to compare with others at cecel's northeast minifest this weekend. Thanks danovercash

The spring and rod are in the truck.

Seems the guy that I am getting a fast hitch Mott from has some kind of fast hitch weight too, so I could be in luck.

I have some channel that you may be able to use too.... It seems to all be coming together nicely!
