Farmall Cub Touch Control Block Rebuild

I had two of their kits supplied by the customers, found neither kit had everything needed and a lot of junk in there not needed so a waste of $$ far as i am concerned
also their hydraulic pump kit did not have the little "lock pin" that comes in the from IH and not sold separate, so Steiner hydraulic kits are a waste

I bought my hydraulic pump kit from TM months ago but never put it in yet. Hearing this makes me very aggregated, you would think they would make sure there kits would be right. I don't know what I can do about it now.

I think tst was referring to Steiner, not TM Tractor.

TM is fine, Steiners had the issues
Yes that's what I was saying. I ordered the hydraulic pump kit from TM awhile back but ordered everything for the hydraulic reservoir from Steiner. Well, if I see something wrong I'm sending everything back to Steiner.

1000000947.jpgHow in the heck am I supposed to know where each 1 goes? There print shows locations but does tell you which one goes where.

If you haven't already removed all the o-rings on the parts, I recommend cleaning each part very carefully but leave the o-ring in place until you're ready to reassemble. As you're ready for each piece, only then remove the o-ring, wipe out the groove it sits in checking for any burrs, then match the old o-ring to the new ones. Dip the o-ring in a cup of hydraulic fluid and install on the part.

Before inserting anything into the bores, pour some hydraulic fluid into each. When you're ready to install a part, dip it also into the fluid and rotate the part as you install it to avoid damaging the o-ring.

As a side note, I lay all the new o-rings out by size, grouping the same ones together. That makes it much easier to pick out the one you need.

Another piece (or two!) of advice, print out the HOW TO for whichever block you have, and keep it right there where you're working so you can refer to it.
Early block:

Later block:

If you don't already have one of these (NOT the one in your kitchen!!),

...grab one from Walmart! Keep those parts from each bore in line with the same orientation as the photos in the HOW TO.

It says " you do not have permission to view this page or complete this action" when I click on the pics to zoom in.

Ah! That's right...when the forum switched over, those photos became " inaccessible" to most. I'm not sure why I still am able to see them when I call them up, but I did do a cut and paste word document that includes all the photos.
Which block do you have the early or later one?

If you DM me with your email address, & let me know which block you have, I can send you a copy tomorrow.
