Cub Pump Cover Bearing Spring

Afternoon,

My 52' Cub was leaking hydraulic oil into the crankcase. When I opened it up, I found that one of the tangs on the cover-bearing spring was missing.

It looks like someone was in there recently, probably trying to fix the same issue. The shaft does have some wear. I did pick up a quad O-ring to see if that would help. The gear drive washer was also missing, and the nut was not all that tight. I feel like the previous job was pretty ham-fisted. Everything else looks good.

It looks like that spring was never a replacement part, and especially now. Just run it as is, or do I need to look for a donor pump?

I can't seem to find the spring anywhere. I can't even find a part number for it.

I'm far more worried about the spring than the missing washer.

Ordered. The part itself is discontinued, so finding this on saved a pile of aggravation.

When I used the CIH parts lookup, it didn't show the part on the diagram, but now I see it's in the list. I just needed to do some reading.

Thanks again for the help.
