Yeah, price is pretty high at least for around here. I gave $1100.00 for my 140 w/ FH + cultivators, and $1300.00 for my 130 with FH, plow and a rear mounted blade someone did a decent job of modifying from a 3 point blade. Both very mechanically sound, the 130 had brand new tires on the back. Neither are show quality, but I don't care I use them. While I can appreciate the work that goes into one getting them to look better than they came from the factory, I've come to appreciate natural patina.
I took my 140 to the Fair to display at our tractor club set up. Everyone else's tractors are all painted up and spotless. I noticed people would walk by them barely giving them a glance, but would stop and look at my 140, mud/dirt on the tires and all. Noticed one guy looking it over when he turned around and shouted, "Who owns this tractor..??" I held up my hand and walked over. He turned and pointed at the other tractors and said, "I like these tractors, but I LOVE this tractor, you actually use it..!!" I noticed the same thing about a little 50's model Cub with cultivators at the RPR at Springfield, OH. Natural patina, and they had been using it to cultivate. Sweeps were shiny/worn some from a lot of use and actually had a few weeds/vines hanging from the shanks. Out of the hundreds of pristine tractors setting there, this little Cub got more attention than most of the others.
