Icing for the H

Postby Stanton » Tue Jul 12, 2016 7:17 am

Had some items I'd picked up over the last year or so for the H; fenders, toolbox and replacement wheel.

Think this finishes off the H. Kind of "icing on the cake" (so to speak). :coffee:

Stanton, I think the cup holder on the front of the tool box will be a little hard to reach.

I have a very similar toolbox on my H except that it is mounted to the PTO shield. Am I right in that those with the old IHC logo are probably from horse-drawn equipment?

I suppose the toolbox pre-dates the tractor. Probably from the early 1930's. The H wasn't introduced until 1939. I just thought it looked nice.

I do believe that early Hs were still within the IHC logo timeframe before the switch to just IH

Those tool boxes were mounted on the horse drawn mowers - dad had one! I also have a toolbox, don't think I'll put it on my H tho! Dusty B

Very nice!

I pulled one of those tool boxes off an 2MH corn picker.
Isn't the "cup holder" for an oiling can?

Greg:

I have two of the four fingered oiler holders. Don't recall if either one has the IH markings. If you want one, PM me. ----If one has the IH markings I will send it to you - - - providing I can find them - - - it's been years since I last saw them.
