I needed a better trailer hitch on my yellow cub with the Woods Mower. Also wanted a better method of spraying my fence rows with weed killer. So, solved both problems with the same setup:
Hitch Receiver
With Ball Hitch
With Carrier
With Sprayer
Full Shot
Had to buy $10 worth of angle iron (which I have nearly half of it left over). The rest is what I found in and around my workshop.
I have been using my Ford 3000 to spray. The cub should make it much easier to drive close to the fence and also see better where to aim the sprayer.

Re: Latest Farmall Cub Project
Nice job Ron. I'm thinking about something similar using a carryall. Getting tired of using the backpack sprayer.

Re: Latest Farmall Cub Project
Thanks Bob.
I already have a 12 volt plug like this wired to my battery post and just hanging out from the battery box lid.
This is to connect my charger when needed to keep from taking off the lid every time. I will install an inline cutoff switch on the pump wire that will plug into the battery plug. Even though the 12 volt pump is supposed to "bypass" with the power on, I prefer to have a quick off and on switch.

You can get a receiver gizmo at Harbor Freight for cheap, that lines up and bolts on to the drawbar and also a carryall that the receiver accepts….Don't have all the particulars ( price etc) in front of me but thats what I used to attach my sprayer….It was probably less that 50-60 bucks excluding the 15 gallon sprayer….All wired just ran the lead to the battery with alligator clips….My 2 cents Dave ………….Almost forgot, beautiful job by the way

No comments on the gussets but just how often do you need to connect a charger that you have to have a quick disconnect for it? I think I'd be fixing something.BIGHOSS wrote:.........This is to connect my charger when needed to keep from taking off the lid every time............
Or are you talking about the battery maintainer function on a charger? With the quality of work on the hitch and carryall I tend to think that's what you meant.

Re: Latest Farmall Cub Project
I have an alternator so no problem with keeping a charge. But, just in case, in the wintertime I will throw a maintainer on it every now and then, just for insurance. The plug makes it super easy to hook up and keeps my "purty" yellow paint "purty" on the battery box.
