Starter bolt
Anyone know where I can get a new or used starter bolt. The one that all the electrical connections get made on. The PO had it stripped pretty good and now the threads are gone. I thought it was just a copper bolt but of course it's not. It has a neat triangle head and a matching angle on the push button. Thanks.

Re: Starter bolt
Does it make sense to just get a whole new switch? They are like 15 bucks.

Re: Starter bolt
If you have an electrical rebuild shop in your area they will have the contact stud for the starter. As far as replacing the whole switch - it depends on what condition the old contact bar is in.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

Re: Starter bolt
I guess if you were really cheap, or in a big time crunch, you could thread what was left for a smaller size nut.
