Offrink, I'm getting ready to go bowhunting this morning but will check bolt length later today. The carriage bolts are the same ones tha are currently securing your weights now.
Rick
Offrink, the hex head bolts that screw Into the coupling nuts are 2" long.

Re: Second set of wheel weights
Has anyone had issues with the bolt holes on the weights being in seperate locations and not line up? I tried for 3 hours to get one weight on and couldn't. I gave up for the day. There were 2 of us and we couldn't get them lined up. The other side I couldn't line up the bolts on the coupler nuts and gave up on that one after an hour and a half on that wheel.

I will try tomorrow. Have to take care of the kids tonight and can't make it out to the barn.

Re: Second set of wheel weights
Here is the weight and the code on it. My other weight has no code. I also attached photos of the whole weight and te wheel it was suppose to go on and the right side that I got the second weight on but when I tried to put the bolts for the coupler didn't line up.

Re: Second set of wheel weights
Basically, you have two different sets of weights. One for a Cub (second pic) and one for an A/Super A. Others will be along shortly to add their insight.

Photos 1, 3 and 4 are A/Super A weights. Photo 2 is a Cub weight. Hole alignment is slightly different between the two.

Re: Second set of wheel weights
A weight for an "A" will bolt on a Cub weel if you angle your bolt just a bit. Unfortunately you can not angle the bolt with another set already on it.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Re: Second set of wheel weights
Is there a chance that you could put both Cub weights on one side, you know that will work and the two A weights on the other side? If you can get the first A weight on and tighten the nuts on the two long bolts, it may pull (bend) the bolts down some possibly making the second weight able to slip over the bolts. Just a thought....

Re: Second set of wheel weights
I will probably just drill the holes slightly larger if possible and they should align. I'm just a half a bolt off so it should work.

I think you're worrying about something the probability of happening is right up there with getting hit with a meteor while you're plowing your driveway. You do realize the front of the Cub (bolster to engine) is held on with ONLY FOUR BOLTS right?
Four each, or two each for the second set of weights, is plenty. Grade 5 or 8 isn't needed in my opinion (or International Harvester's either since it's not in the parts book).
On a side note; I was trying to figure out how/where you got the degree symbol to show up. Then I blew up the font size Never thought of doing that.
Scrivet, to get the ° symbol hold alt key then type 0176 on the number pad with num lock on. when you release the alt button it comes up °

Bill, I just use the * (asterisk). I'll never remember all those other steps.

Bob,
I understand, I may remember the key strokes until the end of today and that may be stretching it a bit. Then again, it may stick for years.
