Great photo. Very nice looking field! Shouild have a heck of a crop of tobacco. What's the plan for the crop? Are you supplying it to a company, or making your own hand-rolled cigars???? That would be pretty cool!!!

Selling it to a company down in the Dominican Republic. All for cigars. Of course we will take some and make our own cigars though haha. We have only 3 tractors for cultivating 40 acres. A 140, and 2 Cubs (1 Red, 1 Yellow). Its been hectic because one of our trucks kicked the bucket so theres been no time to even put the cultivators on the 140, its just Cubs doing all the work. Goes without saying that I spend all day on them. I have today off because of heavy rain. I will take more pics of the farm when I can!

I can feel how slow you have to go to keep the wet clumps from landing on a plant.
The picture also shows how useless the cub toolbox is.

Dell, most cubs don't need tools in the field, lol. My one wrench is hanging on the PTO lever!

Re: Cultivating Tobacco!
Funny thing Dell, I took this picture because I was off the tractor uncovering some plants haha
I don't like the toolbox either, its awkwardly placed so I have to angle my hand in it funny to grab the knife to cut the fertilizer bags. So I gave up on using the toolbox and just leave the knife in my pocket.

If you cut down 4" out of the front and right sides it will give you more room to put your hand in and still leave the back and left mounting side for support. Tape or rubber trim on the cut sides to protect your hands.
Is that urea you are sidedressing.

Can't remember lol. We get pallets of 80 pound unmarked brown bags. Its a mix. Brown-reddish in color, I believe the white is urea. I'm not in charge of shipments

Re: Cultivating Tobacco!
More cultivating/side-dressing!
I spent 8 hours on this Cub, and it reminded me why I have a cushion on my Super A's seat.
I also had spent a couple hours this week dressing up a new field and cleaning up sprayrows with the roto-tiller

Re: Cultivating Tobacco!
That's a good looking crop. I remember the days when I would plow all day, and come home with a stiff neck, sunburn, hot, hungry, and thirsty. Those were the days! Thanks for the pics.

If/when you get that deluxe seat, make sure you get one to IH standards (steel springs) and don't forget the armrests!
