Head Bolts
My engine was rebuilt at a local machine shop but I have discovered that they did not put sealant on the threads of the head bolts. I want to add the sealant. Can I remove the bolts one at a time and reinstall them and torque them as I put them back in or do I need to remove them all and go through the proper sequence to torque them all? I will be using new head bolts. I was concerned that I might have a problem with the head gasket if I remove all of the bolts at the same time.

Re: Head Bolts
One bolt at a time. Torque down. When finished, recheck the torque on all head bolts.
I have an excuse. CRS.

Re: Head Bolts
Curious...what sealant will you be using? The Copper ? stuff? Spray or is there a brush on? Thanks, because I think the shop that did mine may have done the same thing, and I was going to also remove one at a time to coat them.

Re: Head Bolts
if you have coolant in the engine you need to drain it first. At leas partway or you will get a nice fountain.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!
you are part of the problem!!!
