Here is an idea. this was sold at a local Estate auction. I know nothing of the history, who made it, etc. but went just to take the pictures. I do have more pictures and a little higher resolution if anyone wants them.

Re: Got an unneeded Cadet around
That one looks like one of Jack Weaver's custom jobs. I recognize it from how the front grill is done, the rear spindles on the wheels, and he always put an M&W emblem on them. He was a great guy and made several of them. He just passed away here a little over a month ago. I got to meet him and know him for a brief time as he lived here in Gibson City.
He put several hours into them and enjoyed every minute of it. He was the kind of man that could figure out about anything. I have a miniture like that one on my list of projects foir the future.
John, any idea of what it brought?
Thanks and have a good one.

Re: Got an unneeded Cadet around
I was not there at the time, but was told that a member of the family bought it for $2500.

Re: Got an unneeded Cadet around?
I wonder if that PTO on the bottom pic will run a Kub Klipper rear mower if the cadet is 12 or 14hp? Of course the gear reduction on the standard tranny would have to go.

very nice, looks to be a 70 or 100 with a 61-63 original hood

Re: Got an unneeded Cadet around?
Sure is a neat looking Farmall! That's just what I want when I pass on, is to leave a nice tractor to live on! That no doubt is a IH Cub Cadet 100. The k241 {10hp} had the 6.5qt fuel tanks, and were noticeably bigger than the k162 {7hp} which had the round, 5qt fuel tanks. Your 12hp models {k301} had the 8qt fuel tank, respectably. Both the k241 and the k301 had the same amount of head bolts, 9 where the k161 had just 7. Just a few differences between a model 70 and model 100, like the sticker identifications, and the steering wheels were different between the two. Here on this Farmall, we see a different steering wheel, maybe from a 125, ? The hood is correct for a 70/100 model. Keep in mind that a Original hood has the "cut out" at the top front lip of the hood for the hood ornament to seat, and is slightly different from that of a 70/100 model. Nice looking tractor!
