Hmmm...That makes me wonder if it will help or hurt my date. Portland is two hours away, so concievably a person could make both but it would cut into their time. If I reschedule it may throw everything else out of kilter, but then Portland is a bigger draw.
Well, I guess I better look at the options. Any ideas from those planning to attend are more than welcome. With gas priced the way it is nobody wants to be driving all over tarnation.

I plan on being at Portland on Friday with my treasures. Go home unload what I don't sell then load up my tractor for Saturdays fun at your place. I have already took that day off for a vacation. I just need a shade tree for a while.

Some of the guys may be thinking like Jeff and come down to the Bash while in the area. I could leave the date as is or go with the week end before (May 9, 10 & 11) which is Mother’s Day weekend and also FarmallCub.com’s 9th birthday. Another possibility is the weekend after Portland which is Memorial Day weekend. A holiday weekend isn’t the best for a lot of guys though. After that there are some summer events that would definitely conflict. I plan to be at CubFest and Cub Tug with everybody else. After August has me booked solid with various events.
I’m starting to think the birthday celebration may be a neat thing. Everyone would be home in time to take Mom to dinner the next day. That would be the weekend after Zagray and the weekend before Portland. Some people will say don’t change what you have, but if nobody comes I might as well join you all in Portland. Just some ideas, I’m always open to suggestions.

Bill,
No matter what you do, you have the potential to interfere with some other planned activity. Jeff, and possibly others, have already made vacation/scheduling plans that may be difficult to change - retired folks, like me don't have that problem.
You scheduled the Bash quite a while ago. Lots of folks have made plans to attend. Go with the date you have.
(Bill, the above bit of verbage is worth what you paid for it. )
Have a great day.

The date of the Bash stays as is!
After getting these replies I called Jeff Silvey and I had a good chat. I told him I was leaving the schedule as is. I was thinking along the lines of what Tom stated above. I also know that if I planned my vacation and the date changed I wouldn't be overjoyed either.
I told Jeff basically the same thing that Tom said. I figure if anybody wants to camp here Thursday night they are more than welcome and maybe they could car pool up to Portland Friday morning (two hours). Just keep in mind I do not have full hook ups but I can supply enough electric to several campers to keep the lights on.
Saturday goes the same way. If you pack up and leave Portland Friday or Saturday you are more than welcome to stay in the barnyard (or barn, I don't care) those nights. What this boils down to is come on down Thursday if you want and stay til Sunday. I ain't doin' a darn thing but messing with the Cubs, the barn or setting up those days anyway. I'll enjoy the company. Just bring your own beverages in case I don't have enough of what you like. I have that shade tree for Jeff. Heck, I'll even set the hammock up if he wants it.
Thank you and please safe drively!
