found this pic.of a cub on CL for sale, strange blade mountings on it. Homemade??? I wasnt interested for $2,500 but thought the blade was poorly mounted! The only thing holding you from running over the blade is that little bolt in the lift bar!!! LOL!!!

Re: strange blade
It's not a Cub blade that l'm familiar with, but it looks like it's mounted to the draw bar. Might be ok for light grading, but l wouldn't trust it for any heavy work. There is nothing to support the outside edges. I difinitely wouldn't use it for plowing snow.
Why is there never enough time to do the job right, but always enough time to do it over.

Re: strange blade
I see what I take to be an angle lock pin and a handle to angle the blade with (operating rods along frame of plow). With both of the handles being UNDER the operator platform this couldn't have been designed for a Cub. Unless those two mystery holes in the Cub platform are for some type of linkage to make the adjustments.........????????

Re: strange blade
The flat stock from the rockshaft to the plow is from a Woods 42 mower. The plow is a home brewed affair.

Re: strange blade
My thought is the blade came from some garden tractor (except the linkage from a Woods mower).
