Hydraulic fluid in the engine oil, so took apart the hydraulic pump to find the offending shaft/o ring.
There is quite a large groove where the O ring sits, my finger nail catches, so it makes me think a new o ring isn’t going to do it for a long term fix. Looks bad eh?
I have heard about a welding and turning the shaft back to spec. But lack proper equipment do to so. Heard about cutting out the housing to fit another type of oil seal. But again lack the precision equipment....(hhhmmm)
Local machine shops I have found are pretty expensive.
eBay has crazy prices for used pumps.
Is there a hidden gem to find used pumps that are in good working condition?
I have a rebuild kit already.

Re: Hydraulic pump
Sounds just like another recent problem. Read and follow the recommendations there:

Re: Hydraulic pump
Thanks, I did see that recent post. Some good stuff indeed.
My question is, is there a place where can I find a used pump for sale at a reasonable price?
I looked at some of the sponsors advertised and will contact them if need be.
But they didn’t have a lot of info on their websites about pumps for sale and perhaps there is a good source outside of them that I don’t know about?
Located in Canada is a bonus!

Re: Hydraulic pump
Tim, (TST) provides that welding and machining service. Don't know if he'll ship to Canada.
