49' stuck crank help!

I'm new to this site and could use some help!! 49' i let her sit for over a year with water in cylinder, removed head and pan, removed radiator also. in order to get large wrench on front pully. have soaked for days with everything imaginable, tried hammering pistons with wood block, nothing budging!
what am i missing?

It may just need more time to soak and loosen up after a year. Are the valves loose?

two valves were stuck open, i got them to release after some tapping and soaking

Patience, It takes quite a while to soak things loose again after setting for a year with water in it. Sometimes the corrosion between piston and cylinder wall is so tight it takes a press to move it. Are the pistons cast iron or aluminum?

I've had a couple that needed a hydraulic press to free up. Hard wood shaped to fit the cylinder, and the press pushing on that. Good penetrant and time, as the others have said. Hammering on the wood block, occasionally, may crack some rust, making the penetrating oil able to get down, farther.

I'm assuming they were replaced by previous owner as cylinders were bored to .090 , would they have used aluminum or could they still be cast? how can i tell? I havent removed starter, is that a possible problem? The previous owner has a large bolt in pulley hole where you would normally put hand crank, not sure why this was done, am able to get 1/2 inch socket and breaker bar on it just dont want to do more damage pulling to hard on this. Maybe patience is best solution! lol Thanks !!

The bolt was likely put there to assist in removing the front pulley by a previous owner. The bolt is used by the puller to push against when removing the pulley. You should be able to remove this bolt.

The bolt was not used to hold the pulley on the crankshaft originally in 1949. (Interference fit)

A magnet would tell you if it's cast iron or aluminum. ATF and acetone at 50/50 is a cheap and effective penetrate.

Since the block has been bored, the pistons are likely aluminum, as mentioned, a magnet will tell you. Generally, .060 is the largest piston available for the C 60 engine, .090 would have had to be custom made. Remove the starter and you can use the starter ring as a leverage point to attempt rotating the crankshaft.

Success!! With the help of the sawed off end of a louisville slugger and a 3 lb sledge! Now is it ok to sand the inside wall with sandpaper as i'm not really wanting to remove pistons, couple of the valves still sticking, soaking them now. is it also safe to hook up battery and turn over engine vs hand turning?

Don't use sandpaper. Any grit not removed will score the cylinder walls.

Prime the oil pump. One or two cups of oil. You can use the opening inside the oil filter housing, near top front.

Lubricate, engine oil, the top of the pistons. Hand crank the engine a number of revolutions. Then use the starter to turn engine over. Observe for oil being pumped out the opening inside the oil filter housing.
