Folks,
A friend of mine has bits/parts/pieces of what he wants to use to make a sidedresser. Another local fellow has a stash of parts that has a lot of fertilizer/planter stuff that my friend can pick through. So the problem becomes, using the pics below, identifying what he has so that he can get the right stuff to finish assembling a sidedresser. Once what he has is identified, we can print off the appropriate manual to take along to sort through the pile of parts.
I'm not familiar with these things so I need those with experience to let me know what he has.
Thanks for your help.
Bill

Looks like he just needs the drive unit. Looks like this.
https://burchstoretractors.com/products ... drive-unit
Also here's one I had on our '47 The piece he needs is what the hopper is sitting on. Also notice the small rod that goes to the lift? It looks like he has it but it's not connected, it's what engages it when letting the cultivators down.

I think he may have a John Deere hopper too, looks like JD cast into it.

you want the cub 53 or 101 manuals, the hopper you have I do think its an IH, the base is different, you need the countershaft that bolts on front of the one you have now for the hopper, the one you have now is for a planter hopper

Thanks for the quick responses. My friend should be happy with the manuals I have printed off for him.
