McCormick Deering Harvester(?)

Postby Peter Person » Wed Oct 09, 2019 5:09 pm

Was on a cross-country trip to Denver last week with Emily.
Saw a lot of farms and other neat stuff. Decided to get off I-80 in Gothenberg, NE for a pitstop. Very nice little town. Then headed west on US30 to the next entrance ramp to I-80, just to see things from a different perspective.
At the entrance ramp there is a "Junkyard" with all kinds of vehicles, etc. Saw this McCormick Deering Harvester (?) at the end of the row.

That's a threshing machine, also called a separator. It's used to separate the grain from the stalk, like for oats, wheat and others.

We have a Case in our collection.

Mark,
Thanks for the clarification. Makes sense given that area of Nebraska.
