Re: Barnyard Bash in less than six weeks!
The way the price of corn has gone up since last year I may have to forego buying another Cub between now and then. That is getting to be expensive chicken feed.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Don't I know it!! Heating with corn turned in to an expensive proposition this year. We stopped using it to heat the house in Feb. and only a little, using up the supply, heating the shop.

Try feeding it to 12 head of cattle, 2 hogs and to many chickens to count. BUT I've done set my gas money a side to make it to my first Cub gathering so nothing else matters.
I'M HAVIN A BLAST!!!!

I’m still finding things from last year! This year the floors should be in good shape before everyone gets here. I plan to move the shelving that separates the bays on the concrete floor to the back wall. That will give us more space to work. I also will empty the two dirt floor bays for more work space. Roger, if you feel energetic, you can sweep the dirt floor for me.
I had planned to concrete the floor in the last two bays, replace the four sliding doors with rollup doors and finish the driveway. Unfortunately I was told the county planned to widen our road and they may have to take my building. I decided not to waste time and money on that until I knew for sure. I just found out the other day the road will have to wait many, many years due to their budget. The sad part is, I won’t have time to do any of my improvements before the Bash gets here.
That’s okay though, Rosie and I will be happy to see everbody again and meet many of the new folks.

HEY BILL
Dont Sweat it,we will be fine wiff a dirt floor. At home (50 yrs ago) we never had concrete in any of the machine sheds. WORKED fer us.NO REASON it wont work now. Still excited about the bash. NOT SURE but I think ML is plannin her first TATER SALAD and Deviled eggs of the year for the BASH.
YUM . See its kinda special fer me too, SHE dont make that stuff that often. JUST SPECIAL OCCASIONS. THIS IS IT!

Rosie and I are honored that you all feel that way. I'm sure your better half will feel right at home with the other ladies. Rosie always wants them to feel welcome in her home.
