A New Year, A Same Old Me.

Postby Barnyard » Sun Jan 02, 2022 1:34 pm

Well, I feel like I am back to my old self. The first two weeks after my hospital stay had me resting every time I turned around. The problem with that was that it started to get boring sitting and sleeping all the time, as well as making me lazy. My follow up with my regular doctor was very positive. He said I should resume my usual diet. I asked about nuts, popcorn and such. He said years ago they were not recommended at all, Now days they only advise you to eat them in moderation and see a doctor immediately if you have abdominal pain. Trust me, after what I went through, I have no problem with that.

This past week I have been cranking up the heat in the shop and getting things done. I got the mower deck off the Kubota tractor and the front bucket on for any snow jobs. Mower deck is now cleaned and serviced for spring. Log splitter got some new tires and nice, little used, engine. Now I have been working on the Cubs. Hopefully I will have a few more runners by time March rolls around.

Thanks to everbody for the well wishes these last three weeks. I feel as great as a guy my age should. :D

I could not say tractor when I was 2 years old so I called it Err Err.

I loved this tractor then and I still love it now.

Nope, I think you will see more leaving the barnyard this year than coming in.

I tried that and was successful, then they started to accumulate again. So, I'm in the process of thinning the herd again (I'm going to keep two). The one I'm working on now is turning into a money pit.
