Another hobby of mine

I am the club secretary for the Will County Threshermen's Association, and our club was founded on the heritage of the Steam tractors and their use running threshing machines, corn shellers, sawmills, and plowing.

One of our members just finished the restoration of his Port Huron steam engine (1 of 2) which incuded construction of a new firebox, extensive boiler work, and all new plumbing.

He had a little "steam up" party to celebrate the completion and it wad the first official run of the engine. All that js left is to mount the canopy.

I'm not fortunate enough to own my own steam traction engine, but it sure helps to have friends that let you run them!
