Did the engine start without a problem after you installed the electronic ignition?
The ignition was one of my theories early on. I thought that maybe it was misfiring or malfunctioning and dumping the amperage. So I disconnected it to try and spin the engine. No difference there either. I put the ignition in a few years ago and it was great. When the engine did spin, it fired right up.
I did put the timing gun on it and it was firing at tdc while turning over. The plugs also have great spark. Just can't get it to spin at speed with all the plugs in.
