Happy Spring to you all,
I have a recently purchased 154 and the hydraulic lift lever is not connected to the valve, seems the little right angle piece that is pinned to the valve shaft and rides on the lever is in two pieces and just floating around on the lever(curved version). I need to remove the lever but at this point scratching my head as to the procedure to remove it. Does the whole tower need to come out? Thanks for any information you can provide.
Thanks,
Randy

Removing the hood and gas tank will provide access to back side of the "tower"/control panel and hydraulic control valve.
That is if I understand the problem.

I have an excuse. CRS.

As Eugene says,---start by taking the hood/gas tank off and go in from that way. --- I never had any reason to take one out on my 154 or the two 185's, but you should be able to see behind there with tank out and may be other stuff that has to come off as well to reach the valve.

Re: Lo-Boy 154 Hydraulic lift lever removal procedure
Thanks for the help. I was able to wrangle it out. The curved version certainly makes it harder. I had to take it out for two reasons, one...the rod that is welded on to put the deck in float position was busted off and two...the piece that engages the valve shaft was broken into two separate pieces. It was welded at the factory but had broken apart. Having the tank out helped a great deal. Thanks for answering my question.
