Re: 3260 mower fitment
The mower decks for the numbered series fit all years of the 154, 185, and 184.
However, The last 154 was built in 1974 (S/N 036676).
In 1977, the 184 would be the numbered series tractor in production. The 184 started production in January at S/N 43802 according to TractorData.com.

Ok thanks. I took the serial number of the engine and matched it to a list I got online.

Re: 3260 mower fitment
There is some difference between the earlier 154 and later 154 but I believe the 3260 deck will fit both. I have two early 154’s and one later 154, the rocker shaft lift should be the same. The deck is pushed from the final housings. The mule drive is similar too.
I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.

I have an earlier 154 and later 154 and a 3260 deck, I've moved the deck from one to another with no issues.

Only the hydraulics and wether it has a 3pt hitch with selector valve or not. The pto shaft will work. But the pto assembly is different with the drive shaft. But the pto drive output pulley is in the same location the standard hydraulics is easy the massive plumbing on the 3pt.
