154 mower

Postby john2189 » Sun Apr 12, 2020 9:30 am

My 3260 deck is rusted very badly and the mounting arm is badly bent. Is there a more modern deck that would fit?

There are a number of mowers that can be attached to a numbered Cub. The difference is the hardware to mount the deck to the tractor.

I have a 3260 deck mounted on my 154. Over the years I have patched the holes, straightened dents, purchased new blades and one spindle.

My suggestion is to make the repairs, much cheaper than purchasing another mower deck.
Edit for spelling.

Ok thanks. The middle blade seems to not cut like the two outside blades. I did sharpen them, it helped a little.

Are the spindles tight?--no loose bearings? If the shell is that bad,---it may be warped.
I have some decks here, Danco and Woods that are decent decks. I don't use them anymore,---I moved up to a sunstar 60" 20 hp model.
If anybody wants these decks they can have them.

Yes spindles are tight. If you were closer, I’d take you up on the woods. I have a 20 horse sunstar too. 60” deck.
