Battery and connections are good. I guess I'll have to tackle that this weekend.
Thanks guys

Re: Model 70 electric problems
Not sure what you are asking, what numbers do you want to cross, Delco to IH, after market to Delco, after market to IH???
Basically any of the Cub Cadet Delco starter generators can be used on any of the IH built Cub Cadets. The Cub Cadet starter Generators are all 15 amp, counter clockwise rotation (as you stand in front of the tractor looking at the front of the engine). To be specific as to the S/G for a model 70, the Delco number used in 1963 was 1101967 with the number 1101986 shown on some substitution list. The numbers 1101996 and 1101997 were used in 1964 and later with number 1101998 listed as a sub. This info can be found in the FAQ's on http://www.ihcubcadet.com and was compiled by Myron Bounds and Roland Bedell

Re: Model 70 electric problems
I was looking for a part number for after market or IH or what ever I could find so I can order a new one.
It cost as much here to get one rebuilt as a new one. I thought I could maybe just replaces the brushes but this thing is shot. Thanks for the info.
