782 Kohler 17 series I or II ?

Does anyone know at what point the switchover from series I to series II took place for the Kohler 17 in the model 782?

I can't answer that question. If an engine has the original serial plate, you can tell which it is from the Spec Number. 24300 and above is Series II, 24299 and below is Series I.

Thanks Jim. I came across a post claiming the parts manual shows the change at tractor serial number 726125. I'll see if I can get a copy of the parts manual to verify if that's accurate.
