Hi all,
I'm new to the forum, and I have a few questions about an old Farmall Model B that my Dad has in his driveway.
I believe its a '47 model "B."
It hasn't run in years. Dad got it in exchange for helping a neighbor out. I am a licensed mechanic and know machinery well. Where do I get a shop manual for this? I searched the internet and there are thousands of links of resources but its hard to sort through the information.
I noticed no model "B" forums here but you have a model that has the dual center wheel here. That is what I have.
I'm interested in learning about the tractor, I love old tractors.
Any help or information would be appreciated.
Thanks all!
Tim

binderbooks.com is a good source for hardcopy manuals. We do have a forum that includes the B. It is located here... viewforum.php?f=177

I&T manual # IH-8 has the necessary information for an experience mechanic. You can pick one up at some farm and ranch supply stores. Cost, guess, under $20.
I have an excuse. CRS.

Here is the Parts Manual available from the "Cub Info" link above, then Rudi's Manuals, then scroll way down to A-B:

I have a 1945 B. I got the parts and service manuals I use from Binder Books. Several others here own B Farmalls, too. Got a question, just post it here on the forum. There is a B forum here; I think it's right under the A, SA, etal, forum.

Re: Need information on Farmall model B.
We have a section dedicated to the B and BN tractors, located here: viewforum.php?f=177 Maybe a mod can move this thread there. The B came with the single front wheel or the dual, center front wheel. That's what my '44 B has.
Also, there are some manuals in our "PDF Manuals" section, underneath the "Quick Links" on the upper left of each page. Service manual and parts catalog can be found underneath the A, Super A, AVs, etc., in the "PDF Manuals" section, while the operator manual, plus some other info will be found in the "Farmall, IH, Case - B's, F's, M's, Regular, etc." in the "PDF Manuals" section.

Thats awsome! (Except the part about the implements being gone now!)
But I could not imagine trying to do that with those tractors today!
