I don't think Norm is back to work yet. He broke his back some time ago and had to stop all fabrication.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Hi Art. The mounting is kind of the cool part of the design. It just hangs on the hexagonal axle tube and the hexagonal cutouts in the sides lock it in place just like a giant open end wrench. No fasteners required. It has to go up and forward at a 30 degree angle to disengage, so I am not too worried about it bouncing off. If that is a problem, I’ve made a provision to extend the second step from the top forward and use standard fender u bolts to bolt the thing in place. The top step should come out at exactly the same level as the platform. I I have not looked carefully, but I believe it will hang off the front of the axle just as effectively. Only downside that I can see is that it will make a mess of the paint were in meets the axle, which is only two 1/4’”strips halfway around the axle tube. Ed

Here's my completed step. I gave my local laser cutting guy a DXF file that I created from an AutoCAD drawing from which he cut the sides, and had a fabricator bend and weld the steps.

No fasteners, it just hooks around the axle like a giant open end wrench. If anyone cares, I will get better photos before long. Although I haven't tried it, I'm pretty sure that it will work hung off the front of the axle as well. It's rock solid. After it's painted, I'll glue on rubber treads to match my floormat.

Anyone who wants the DXF file is welcome to it.

Super, Super cool. Wouldn't work with my FH, but that is well done.

That looks like a spectacular job!

I'm afraid that I've built a trailer queen here! It will have no function other than a tractor show once in a while and pulling a trailer at the occasional tractor parade. We have, or used to have, and hopefully will again have, 2 nice ones and a great tractor exhibition all close enough to drive the tractor to.

It appears that the PTO was optional, and I thought that the tractor looked better without it. I wasn't able to find an original blanking plate so I made one out of 3/8" aluminum. For the same reason, I removed the Touch Control. I was able to find an original Touch Control lever blanking plate which was kind of cool.
