The same guy at the Flywheelers that has the Super A also has a 100. I think he was asking $1500 for it. It had better tires, but the govenor needed rebuilt. It either idled or ran wide open he said.

There's a 200 on FB Marketplace that's been listed for a while.

Thanks, I think I'll stick to Fl, Ga, Al area. Fuel cost are high enough on some of those.

Hard to say! I imagine only the person who did the work has that answer.

I think sometimes we start a engine before the job is completed to double check, before finishing up.

That way if there is a problem, not as much tear down.

I have started engines on the engine stand in the past after a rebuild.

Just have to remember to shut them down before they get hot though!

the c123 is used in a number of applications including a bulldozer. and hp up to the mid 30s. A number of the parts are specific to the application. There are differences between my 130 and 140. If I recall the water pump is different for example.
When you only have 9 horsepower you need to know the names of all of the ponies!

IMO, based on what you've described that you're looking at, you might be better off financially in the long run to be willing to travel a little further for a better tractor. The one you describe in your original post sounds like a parts tractor to me.

If you want to come to Kansas I have a Super A { has a belly blade on it} and 140 with fast hitch , 2 bottom plow and disk for sale.
Both have 12 volt alternators on them , good tires and a set of rear weights with them.

Thanks for the replies guys. We've been busy, and back at the farm in LA (Lower Alabama) with the In-Laws. They are 92 and we are switching off with a step sister taking care of the parents.

Yes, I passed on the 140 until he can find the radiator and show me a running/operating tractor. I don't need another project that's not running.
