engine swap

Postby Bamacub » Wed Jan 25, 2023 5:49 pm

The engines on a 100, 130, a, super a, and a 140 all interchange? I have a friend that has a 100 with a bad block and needs an engine.

The A engine has no place to mount the hydraulic pump. There is also a minor issue with the bolt between the block and front bolster next to the pump. From the 130 to the 140 there were changes to the cooling system that cause complications on radiator fit etc.

Aren't some of the A and SA engines the 113, rather than the 123?

Yes, all up to the Super A1. But that has no effect on interchangeability.

The 123 has a number of variations depending on the application. I have learned the hard way as close as they look at first glance there are a number of small differences that will frustrate a " quick swap".

They just did not make that many 100s Your friend may have to have to get a parts tractor 130-140 and work through a swap or work out the details if they get just an engine
When you only have 9 horsepower you need to know the names of all of the ponies!
