Stan, I found this thread earlier this afternoon after we PM'ed. According to Jim Becker in this thread the "Oil Pump Priming" is specific to the Cub. The oil pump on the A, SA, and SAV is in the oil pan.

Ken, not on this topic but the SA/AV owners manual gives some valuable safety advice for blocking the front axle before jacking the tractor. See pdf manuals that I previously referred to.
I saw Jim Becker's response about the oil pump in another post. Jim is the ultimate authority on all things IH as far as I'm concerned.
