How to check the oil 130??

How to check the oil 130??

I know this sounds stupid but I just pucked up a 130 - first non cub.

Are you suppose to open the valves on the side of the oil pan?
When you only have 9 horsepower you need to know the names of all of the ponies!

pull the top plug, oil should be at that level full, if it does not see if it comes out the lower hole, if it does you have enough

In case you aren't yet aware of it, those are back seating valves with left-hand threads. You turn left to open, right to close. Be gentle so you don't twist a handle off.

The lower one is broken any idea where to get them? JP maybe?
