Owner of a 70, s International Cub.

Postby Earl Griffin » Thu Oct 02, 2014 8:31 pm

Just found the site, I have owned my cub since 1998. It has been shed kept since I got it, and only use it to mow 5 acres with my L59 woods belly mower. Glad to join this site, my tractor might start getting the maintenance it's needed for years since I can now see the pdf manuals.

Welcome to the group! All your questions can be answered here.

Oh man, you just missed a great CubFest over in Tipton two weeks ago. There will be another Dec 6, 2014 in McCordsville, IN. Mark your calendar.

Earl, Jeff Silvey will be the host, I'm sure he will be contacting you with info. He has a very roomy two car garage we work in. This year we plan to swap a tranny in a Loboy. There will be other, smaller stuff going on as well.

Mine leaks a quart of oil every 30 minutes. My father and a friend of his split it and repaced the rear main seal, and still leaks. Also needs clutch work I currently have to start it in gear. Im very mechanical, but the thought of splitting the tractor without the right lifts etc has me at a standstill. I believe the pan gasket is leaking at the rear, and im hoping that the rms isnt defective.

I'm not sure time will allow for two splits to happen in one day at Jeff's. He has room to get one Cub in as well as the people in attendance. However that would be his call. I also have a CubFest in Harrison Ohio the end of May. If your Cub can hold out we could get it in then.

It can wait its been leaking for years. I can do all the tear down myself and transport it ready for split. That would save hours.

That would be next September. It's kind of late to get to Cecil's New York CubFest in the morning or you can make room reservations like we did and attend the Florida CubFest in February.
