New Packing Tractor???

Postby FarmallAddict » Wed Aug 07, 2019 1:35 pm

The resemblance is uncanny is it not? How far Ag technology has come in 70 years. Obviously these machines were designed for completely different jobs but I had to have a little fun with the size difference.

The Cub is a 1947 serial number 1784. The big one is a Case IH STX 425.

We calculated each tire on the 425 weighs about twice as much as the cub when filled with fluid which all 8 are in this picture. Also including the rim weight.

I have some more serious pictures of the cub I will work on posting. I am running into the file size limitation so I need to compress the files. I will do it when I get the chance. This picture was taken in a silage bunker on a dairy farm in Wisconsin.

Hope you get a good laugh,

Adam

Cool comparison. And history lesson.
I am seeing ads on TV lately for new Case-IH Farmall tractors. Great looking tractors, but quite a bit different from the old Farmalls.
