My Dad bought this Cub in 1973. It had a Danco belly mower we used for mowing pasture and also to mow grass at a foundry he did business with 3 miles from our farm. He was a foundry pattern maker if anyone remembers those. He died in 1999 and when I moved back to the area in 2005, I took possession from my Mom and restored it in '06. It sees occasional use for cruising to the town cemetery and back and giving the granddaughter a ride when she visits. That's my Dad sitting on it in 1998 shortly before his death. When I was chosen as Grand Marshal of the annual parade a few years ago, I passed on the ride in a convertible in favor of driving the Cub. It also works as a pizza carryout pickup vehicle on occasion.

Nice tractor, and nice story. You did your dad proud with the restoration and putting the old tractor to use.

Re: 1956 Cub
Thank you. Notice how the draw bar looks a little cockeyed? Yours truly hooked a guy wire with it at the foundry. Almost flipped it over....almost. Thankfully I hit the clutch in time and the front wheels returned to earth. Decided to leave that part in the shed. Allons Blackhorse
