Engine 22026 approximately equates to Cub 21420 actual #21547 (Mar 48) = 127 under estimate
Engine 98441 approximately equates to Cub 97826 actual #97833 (Dec 49) = 7 under estimate
Engine 158736 approximately equates to Cub 156081 actual #155686 (May 52) = 395 over estimate
Engine 168093 approximately equates to Cub 165783 actual #165197 (Feb 53) = 586 over estimate
Engine 241540 approximately equates to LoBoy 16594 actual #17578 (Feb 63) = 16 over estimate

Over all I'd say not bad. with two WOWS! Pretty impressive.

Thanks for the feedback! I rushed through these this earlier today with the calculator and a notepad, probably should have spent a bit more time on each one. Due to the production line of the LoBoy and the SN jumps that took place, guessing these numbers is not a straight forward as one may think. This is why I don't think we will ever be able to positively identify a tractor's original SN that is missing the tag. But its fun to try!

Oh heck! I dropped the ball on this one! Life sorta got in the way right after I started this and then I forgot! Thanks Raymond! As you can see, the database is really shaping up. Raymond was able to interpolate (I assume, and pretty much what my models calc) and generally get darn close. What I was working on was identifying strong relationships and doing simple Excel regression analysis to come up with equations to predict the tractor SN. Can we calc THE serial number for a tractor based on engine SN? Of course not ... but its better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick! Let me get my head back into those graphs and regression studies and I'll update here.
