Progress on the Demo

Postby deputy jailer » Fri Aug 10, 2007 4:30 pm

I've been pretty busy the last few weeks on the demo. These are some old pictures. The tractor is now in 1000 pieces. I should have it all back together by the end of September and ready for paint. Just as long as everything goes good. I don't have the luxary of working in a garage so its going to be another driveway restoration :D Me and Mikey are loving every minute of it too. Thanks for all the help fellas :D I'll keep you posted on the progress :D

A 1000 piece puzzle of that magnitude by the end of September sounds like a fun project. I wish I could be that close to being finished instead of where I am now (not hardly started). I'm sure it will look great when you're done.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Mine looks like that also. Took mine to a guy to run through eletrolus tank. (Spelling not importance at this time) Will have back it about a week. He's also primeing the parts.

My hat is off to you Podge I couldn't do a restoration with out my shop. My neighbors would have a fit if I was doing that in the driveway. I installed 2 window air units last week so I could work in the shop in the evenings. It has been 96 degrees here for the last week.

My Dad is finishing up his '48, all done on the gravel drive. I offered him my shop but he's a stubborn old coot.......probably afraid I'd try to lay claim to it HAHA........he might be right! I do enjoy the time we spend together wrenching and talking about the cubs. He dove in head first on his, completely stripped the rear end and finals, new bearings and seals all the way around to the front of the tranny.......this poor little tractor was abused and neglected. New tires, discs, and rims all the way around, and going to start giving some TLC to the front half tomarrow starting with the clutch and working forward.
