If you are sure the eyelet is the wrong size, replace it.
I have an excuse. CRS.

Re: Ground wiring issues
I have never had a quality issue with Brilmans. Did you reread the instructions? If there is a question I would give them a call before you replace anything on the new harness

Re: Ground wiring issues
If both of the pink wires go to the bolt that holds the dash on one of them is too small yes I read the instructions the only thing it says is 42 goes to ground doesn't say where

Re: Ground wiring issues
In the PDF Manuals… the Electrical Section of the Cub Parts Catalogs show depictions of the various wiring harness versions. They may be helpful in determining what goes where.

Re: Ground wiring issues
Hi,
Below are pages from the Cub parts manual, TC-37F, showing the wiring for Cubs serial numbers 210000 and below. It shows the system with the voltage regulator, so that is serial number 115403 and above.
It shows the light grounding wires on the 1st page, at the lower pics of behind the dash. They are numbers 41 and 42 in the pics. It looks like they go to one of the dash attaching bolts.

The center pic on the 1st page shows the battery cable routing, from the battery to the starter, if you need that info.
There are originally 4 clips under the edge of the right side of the hood, to hold up the cable and wiring harness.

Re: Ground wiring issues
Are these pink wires both from the main harness (one from each headlight)? An NOS replacement harness I have has the wires brought together and crimped into a single connector. It is sized for the bolts that hold the bottom of the panel. This is a '58-'64 version of a harness. Looking at a tractor of the same wiring version, I see two individual wires with the right sized connector attached to the panel bolt. I am reasonably sure one of them is from the rear light harness and the other handles both headlight grounds that are spliced together somewhere in the harness. Either way, it appears all the grounds in the panel area are attached to the same bolt.
I know, this isn't the wiring version that applies to your tractor. But I'm reasonably sure the grounds are done the same.

Re: Ground wiring issues
I think 57 still has the pancake lights and the second wire may be from the rear harness for the rear light.
