Touch control
I've got a 55 cub and was wondering does it hurt anything to remove the whole touch control system on a cub. I'm gonna repaint it and don't need the hydraulics anyway. Thanks

Re: Touch control
No harm as long as you remove the whole thing. Be sure to remove the pump at the front end of the pair of tubes.
TM (ad at the bottom of this page) has a plate to cover the opening in the engine block.

Re: Touch control
If you have a jigsaw or bandsaw you can cut the pump hole cover out of 1/4" plywood, etc. and back it with a cork gasket.

Re: Touch control
Thanks. I cut a couple covers out of some old aluminum I had. Seems to look ok and work. I've got a whole touch control unit I'd like to sell if anybody is looking for one. It worked good when I took it off. Where can I post it at on here

Re: Touch control
Hi,
I would put the Touch Control on the Cub, put fluid in it, and leave it there.
Someone in the future might need it for a mower or other implement.
