Belt Wear and pully size

Morning all; So, This is for my 1966 Cub Low Boy and its mower deck. I replaced the old 3 belts with new Kevlar belts this Season. they fit find on the mower deck spindles. [see photo of center spindle] and on the main PTO. but I am getting wear already after one season in the field. [see photo of edge of belts]. i have been told they sit too deep in one. if you notice- the left pulley [3rd photo] 'looks' like original inasmuch as it is painted yellow.. the right pulley [the 2nd pulley] looks like it was replaced by prior owner -yet it sits deep in the left one and seems about ok in the newer right one. QUESTION; WHAT DO you think? is the excess wear caused by it sitting too deep? is the left painted yellow one not original? or if it is original can they open like that to let ti go to deep? where do i go to get one or two of the correct size ones then if they are the problem.?
