gov not working??
New here. I have a 53 Farmall Cub i picked up a couple months ago. When i drive around the yard and get to a hill the RPM's die down. Should the gov be keeping the RPM's up more. New to these tractors. I am a Cub Cadet garden tractor guy.

Re: gov not working??
Make sure all of the linkage is free and lubed between the gov and carb. Also make sure you do not have any long cotter pins on the cab that may catch.
There is a procedure in the manual to adjust the carb to governor linkage.
Do these first. Most of the time these are the issues The governor itself is usually not the problem.

When you only have 9 horsepower you need to know the names of all of the ponies!
