hub spline adapter woods42c-6 keeps coming off

The hub spline adapter for the pulley for a woods42c-6 does not clamp tight on the PTO shaft and the whole pulley comes off while mowing.

It has worked well for years this just started.

Is there a repair for this. The pulley is fine

the splines on the adapter or the PTO shaft are probably worn away

Did you check to see if the bolts are tight? If they are I would remove the adapter and widen the slots a bit so it will clamp tighter to the splined shaft.
If the adapter is too worn, you can get them at any bearing supply store.

My guess is a worn pto shaft.

I got a new one. There is a noticeable difference in the splines between the new one and the old one.
