Tried posting earlier but can not find it.
Anyway It will be pulled by a 04 F250 5.4l and tow package. How much could they weigh together? That will be the most the trailer will see. I am also moving a 3400lbs car at another time. Will make a few trips with it and them moist likely sell it. Here are the spec.
82x20 wood deck car hauler
18' flat plus 2' dove tail
2- 3500# axles
7k gvwr
15" bias ply tires and steel wheels
empty weight roughly 2000#
incandescent lights
marker lights on front corners
2- slide in ramps
2" coupler
2x8 pressure treated boards

Your trailer will handle about a 5,000# payload. Your mower Cub would be about 2,000# and the loader Cub would be around 3,000#. You should be okay with that. As was said, you could always get it weighed before you leave with it.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Not sure what type tires are rated for from your list. I have had some bad experiences with auto type tires on a trailer, changed to LT or TR tires for a higher ply rating and have been pleased with the results. I would recommend at least a 6 ply or 8 ply tire rating for the load that you are anticipating hauling. JMHO Stan

For sure I'd only run D or E range tires on that trailer. Anything else will be overloaded.

I know it’s overkill but I put E rated radials on my 6x10 utility trailer. Running down the road isn’t the only abuse it gets.

Yup, it only takes one tire failure :censored: on a loaded trailer on a long trip to ruin your day and your plans (especially on the interstate with limited access to have to deal with). I learned that lesson from the school of hard knocks and have no desire to repeat it!! :hattip: JMHO Stan

…and make sure they’re fully inflated to the correct psi.

I will have to call and see what rated tires it will have. I can not see a company that big messing around with in correct rated tires.

And often times a catastrophic tire failure will take out a fender of the trailer as well.

Yes MAX PSI that's the ONLY PSI which you get MAX load carrying capacity the tire is rated for on the sidewall.

Trailers are sold often to a dealer without tires and they will put on tires sometimes. You never know. Worth a call. Bias tires often ha e a better load carrying capacity but I wouldn't personally want to run Cs on it....but in bias ply they don't have the letter rating I don't believe I think they use the terminology of 6,8,10 ply etc. Radials use the letter designation.

ive spent many hours staring through windshield of pick up truck pulling trailers loaded with all kinds of weight. before beginning a long trip the main things I make sure of besides overall weight is tying things down securely and having spare trailer wheel, bearings, and u bolts. and most important when towing from a ball hitch is to be absolutely sure you have plenty of tongue weight right up to the max limit your vehicle and hitch can handle.
if you have d rings along the side of trailer thats great. ive found in strapping down tractors it works well for me to use a chain on the end of tractor facing the rear of trailer and using strap in front to keep good tension on the chain and easy to add more tension if things loosen up a bit as you go.
then add another strap just to be sure and if i have winch in front of trailer I use the cable with a bit of tension on a tractor axle just to add another layer of safety.
good luck in your travels

Good suggestions for securing a load. One more thing to remember is all chains and straps need to be checked for tension especially after the first few miles of travel and at every stop to compensate for the load shifting and straps stretching over time. JMHO

I will throw in another vote for the 10k trailer. The cost difference is marginal, but the benefits are substantial. Larger wheels bearings come to mind. Also, carry two spares. It's not uncommon to get a blowout after 5 o'clock on a Sunday evening, when all the tire shops are closed.

Out of curiosity, I bought a crane scale a few years ago (Amazon $90) to check my tongue weight, so now I never have to guess. Of course, you will need something to hang the tongue on while checking. I use a forklift.
